Suddenly remembered that the first session was over a week ago and wanted to see the teacher's observations....Was I surprised when I could exactly identify my kid in what Geetha Aunty had posted as her observations. His way of saying "Hullo", and then that he would come tomorrow...and to think of the commitment and effort it would take to do this for every child....laudable...and as a parent am grateful....for giving a vivid picture of him at class...

I would like to know who designed these programs, modules etc ?? Such programs are the need today and I feel that these programs should be introduced in all educational systems. I have a Social Work background and I really feel that Life Skills are far more important than academics.
Mrs Madhua -
This year I am very happy to be so well connected with the success saturday programme. It is nice to be able to read the activity schedule, kids' observations and about the tool. The idea of the tool is also very well recieved by the kids and the parents in our case. We are using all the tools with great enthusiasm. Thanks

I thought I must write to say thanks to you for the remarkable changes that I am seeing in Anoushka this year. Suddenly, she is busy writing (in fact wrote her name in leass than half a minute!!), trying to read by herself and is generally exploring and experimenting a lot. She draws designs and patterns and is able to translate her keen observations into some concrete drawings.
I am not sure how much she speaks up in class, but she has lots of stories these days to tell of her day at school. She comes to school with a sprint in her footsteps and what really touched me today was the joy with which she told me - I learnt something new amma, and her ability to keep on trying till she got it right / the way she wanted it.
Thanks to you alllMs Minakshi, Mother of Anoushka -

The card was a good experience. Rishikesh did most of it.
( The colouring and identifying of alphabets from the news paper.)
I just wrote the words in a sheet of paper.
Also liked the activity of learning the phone number ,which is part of this
months home work. Will try to make Rishikesh do the same.
My mom was also happy to visit her grandsons school :-)Madhulika Rao (mother of Rishikesh) -
i just want to share a small incident which happened in the morning.
as usual at 9 a m i went to drop pranav to the van, but the van had not yet come, so we walked towards omisa`s house, even omisa was not at her place, so i asked pranav to go to omisa`s house, immediately pranav so confidently he crossed the road and walked towards omisa`s house. i as mother , i see a sea of change in my son. A CONFIDENT EMPOWERED PERSON IN MY SON. ratnesh for me its a big deal ,as i know how my son was.
A BIG THANKS TO GENIE KIDS TEAM IN EVOLVING US A BETTER PERSONS.(me and pranav).

I can see that in the way my daughters play time has transformed. It was simple play earlier, now it has lot of content. Earlier, a car use to go from one corner of the room to the other corner for shopping or use to look for parking slot. Now it is passing through lot of traffic, and also interrupted by traffic signals in between. Sometimes, when we are taking a walk on the road, she is asking, what is written on that? earlier question used to be what is that?. Lots of stories are made and played using toys, based on the daily events at Genie kids. Lots of entertainment for us in the evening after long office hours..

Most valuable benefit is that schooling was introduced the fun way and school is a place they love to go to , this experience should go a long way for the kids.
- Rishikesh has improved his language skills
- Observed an overall improvement in his confidence level.
Overall a wonderful place to leave your kids. Things that we liked :
- Innovative ideas to teach kids.
- Having specific themes for the month.
Overall the GK team is doing a great job !Have not heard of any pre-school putting in so much effort and taking pre-schooling so seriously. Most of my friends who have shifted to other schools feel GK is either better or on-par with schools. Feel thats a great compliment for the team, considering the difference in availability of resources.
Overall very satisfying and learning experience for both the parent and the child.
