Let us make you familiar with working procedures in Geniekids to make your interaction with Genie kids more effective, fruitful and memorable.
Coming to Geniekds
Coming on Time: Coming on time is imperative as the morning routine helps children in settling down in the days activities. Coming late puts pressure on the child as well as an additional challenge for the facilitaton. It disturbs the other children too.
Kindly budget traffic jams, child getting up late, etc. and yet ensure that the child reaches in time.
Parking Please do not park in front of any gate. Also do not park in a way that will trouble any commuter on the road. If you come in driver driven car – please do not get dropped or picked up from in front of the gate (even if for few seconds) – this troubles other commuters.
We know you are sensitive and take care of others on the road. Let us be the change we want to see in others.
Pick Up cards
Pick up cards issued with your child name is for us know that the child is going home with the authorized person. We want you to support us to give better security to the kids. If you are sending any other person to pick the child- kindly ensure to send the pick up cards with him/ her.
Footwear
When you visit genie kids kindly leave your shoes neatly in the rack. Do not leave them on the floor. Be an example to all the children.

Resources at Geniekids
Borrow Books: GenieKids have treasure of more than 3000 books. And kids visit the library during our sessions and refer to related book section – however if your child wish to borrow any book to take home – we have various membership options for you to choose from. Click here to see our library details or ask admin when you're at the center.
Resources : We believe in and hence yearn to make resources for our session using junk material. We welcome any idea which can help us to save environment. We also believe in using any resource judiciously – whether its paper, material, water, tea/coffee, time …… pl avoid anything going waste – both from your hands and from anybody else’s.
Anything if you think can be used for kids – or if you have idea – which can be implemented using day to day material – share with us. Anything you can add to our library, resource bank, play equipment etc is most welcome – in terms of ideas or actual physical material.
Join us in our endeavour to create an experiential learning and stimulating environment.
Stationery and Toys : We provide all the stationery required for the session. Kindly ensure that your child does not bring any stationery items, books, toys etc. It distract the child as well as the other other children.
Lost and Found : If your child leaves anything in geniekids like water bottle, jacket or snacks box etc – we keep it in a basket near the entrance gate. At first step we would like you to encourage the child to look for himself/ herself. OR else you can pick from there whenever you visit geniekids.
Or if your child brings any item which belongs to geniekids please send with your child back. This obviously does not include stuff that the child made as part of the session and is anyway supposed to carry back home.
Center Improvement : We take extra care to keep our centre safe and stimulating for kids and learners. If you find anything improper, damaged, erroneous, not appropriate in resources – like torn poster or broken chair or spelling mistake on a poster etc and if you find anything which is unsafe for kids physically or emotionally – please inform at the reception or send an email to geniekids@geniekids.com
We take feedback positively – so give us more. We constantly change ourselves to bring a holistic environment for every child and parent who connect with us.

Other Procedures
Birthdays If your child's’ birthday falls during your child's stay at genie kids - It would be our pleasure to celebrate your child’s b’day at genie kids.
To keep it simple PLEASE only send ONE toffee or chocolate (max value Rs5/- per unit) to distribute to his/ her group or maximum for his / her program children.
Please do not send or request us for distributing any cake/ sweets or gifts for other children. We intend to keep it simple and uniform for children
Q - What if I want to pass an instruction to the concerned faculty?
A - Two ways – either send us an email or write a small note with child’s (full) name & age at the top and give at the reception. Please do not pass verbal messages as there are chances they we miss them.
Q- What if I want to meet the faculty to know how my child is doing?
A - From our point of view all children are doing “FINE”. Each child is different and we cannot assess them in just few days how the child is doing. The child is a better position to tell whether the child is enjoying the sessions or not. Facilitator comments without thoroughly knowing the child can actually be very “casual” and hence can be harmful to the child. Hence, we refrain from judging and commenting on the child. Pl expect a “he/She is fine” (with a smile) if you ask this question to any one of us. Pl note one to one feedback on the child is given at a stipulated time - only in our long duration program.
Q- What if child needs medical attention during session?
A - Whether the child is hurt or is unwell we give immediate first aid and inform you immediately.
Either child expresses or we observe that the child is
not feeling well - first we comfort the child. If the child is ok then
the child settles and goes back to the session.
If the child is really unwell we call the parent to pick up the child.
If any medication is required and if the medicine is
general like Crocin for fever - with the consent of the parent we give
to the child.
If the child requires immediate attention of the doctor we take the
child to nearest hospital (CMH hospital) after informing the parent.
Parents are requested to ensure that we have your most recent contact numbers. Also parents are expected to not send unwell kids for any session.
If the child is hurt first we give first aid and then inform parents if required.

Q - If your child has any complain ?
A - As a first step encourage your child to talk to the concerned faculty. Or ask your child to write a note to faculty. If your child complains for anything – encourage the child to go and tell the aunty or tell that child directly. Children need experience of handling their problem themselves – we do not underestimate and do not think that they are "small". Children learn to read write when we give them opportunity – similarly kids will learn to solve their problems. We just need to have faith in them.
OR tell child to tell you and you write a note for the child – let the child come to school and give note herself to the aunty or another child.
We request parents also to help us in empowering your child. If nothing works – talk to us
Counseling/ Guidance
Option 1 - We welcome all the parents to share any behavioral or any other issue you are facing with your kid. We prefer that you write down your concern and then send it to us. Based on your concern we put you to appropriate facilitator/ guide/ counsellor to talk or to reply to your mails.
We will not attend to any verbal communication. Like my child does not concentrate in school or how is my child doing in genie kids? Kindly write down your concern – when you write your thoughts become clearer and help us in guiding you.
Option 2 - You can also post your inquiry on our forum. Forums are a great place to get a discussion going and help everybody.
How to add topic to forums:
1. goto www.geniekids.com (basic :-)
2. Login with your username (if you do not have one - create one at www.geniekids.com/user/
3. Once logged in you can either
click on any forum topic and you get a Add new forum topic link at the top right bar
or
from the menu under your name you can click on create content and then click on new forum topic
Faculty " This program is conducted by our trained facilitators. They do extensive research before they take any sessions with you. All of us have good exposure to work with kids and they are committed and most importantly always ready and open for learning more. However if you feel that any of us are not upto the mark – feel free to give us feedback. We value every big or small feedback we get – that is how we grow everyday.
