CAMP WAYANAD

Spend summer on the banks
of the amazing River Kabini!!

Nestled in between the Western Ghats,
the camp is set on the banks of the Kabini
and surrounded by lush mangrove forests!

For children 9 to 15yrs old

Where: On the banks of the Kabini River, The Kuruva Island that is home to 400 acres of mangrove forests, is also home to our campsite.

Route: Bangalore-Mysore-Gundulpet-Kuruva

About the Campsite: Kuruva Island: The 900 acre island has the tributaries of the Kabini flowing through it, giving an opportunity for a host of activities for the participants. High on flora and fauna this island is an amazing bio diversity hub.

Itinerary: 5 days

25th April to 29th April

Day 1: Kuruva Island Campsite

Early in the morning depart from Bangalore and drive down to Wayanad. Arrive at Kuruva Island, a lush evergreen forest spanning 950 acres. Lying on the banks of one of the tributaries of the river Kabini, this peaceful and calm island is home to a host of birds, butterflies and orchids.  Enjoy treasure hunts/group games at the Island and build campsite at the island followed by overnight camping in tents

Activity: treasure hunts and camping outdoors

Day 2: Kuruva Island Campsite

Early morning experience river crossing at the Kabini, which takes you through the different tributaries of the Kabini River and experience the forests within the island. Also experience Aerial Crossing at the river and explore the river with a bamboo raft.

Day 3: Soochipara Campsite

Spend The day trekking at the 4000 year old Neolithic caves at Edakkal.  Boasting of pre historic carvings and an exciting location, the caves offer an exciting trek. Move through challenging crevices, climb exciting rock faces and explore the caves. Evening camp at the

Activity: Trekking to Caves and Campfire

Day 4: Soochipara Campsite

Spend the day at the Soochipara Waterfalls, trek to the waterfalls, visit the tribal villages around the hills and swim in the natural pools formed by the meandering river.

 Day 5

 Last day at camp unpack the camp. Early noon depart from Wayanad and arrive at Bangalore in the evening.
